Ebb & Flow
"Ebb & Flow" is a collection of large-scale works that blur the boundaries between painting and sculpture. The carved flat metal surfaces trick the eye into translucency, luminescence and optical illusions of 3 dimensionality. “With “Ebb & Flow” I wanted to go purely to the visceral. It is part 2 of the Disjointed exhibition (seen in previous folder), many works of the initial 2024 series are exhibited, however this time I wanted to celebrate the intimate relationship between colour and the sensuality of form.
The pieces on this page are the new large works I created in 2025 and all (Disjointed pieces and Ebb & Flow) were recently exhibited at Te Auaha Gallery, 65 Dixon Street, Wellington.
